I loved this week of reflection, of getting rid of old habits and attitudes that no longer serve me. I spent the week going back over old chapters in Haanel’s The Master Key System. A lot of it was new to me even though I was reading it for the second time. I’ve grown. I have a new perspective.
Haanel says that the Law of Attraction brings us our “own.” This means that we “are” today the sum of everything we’ve experienced in the past, including the experiences and beliefs that were handed down to us from our ancestors and from their societies.
So I’ve been busy identifying those traits that have become my “own” but are obstacles to my growth. I’m tossing out, with joy, whittling down until only courageous thoughts remain. I am doing a mental housecleaning.
Fear was the first defect to go. I shall let my light shine, and meet each day with courage and, as Haanel writes, “…pound barriers to pieces, and leap over the chasm of doubt and hesitation which fear places in my path.”
If we wish to be of service to others we must have power, but to get it we must give it. I have written a new service on my card. “I promise to participate in the Alliances five days this week and every week. I always keep my promises.”
