Yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, twelve in my family made lists of what we’re grateful for. We read them at the Thanksgiving table. The gratitude ranged from Kanye West to Social Security. I’m not telling which one was on my list:)
Thanksgiving was a day spent in the kitchen, each of the adults maneuvering for counter space to prepare their signature dishes, hoping to have everything ready the same time as the turkey. In spite of personal flaws, rolling eyes, chips on shoulders, and crying babies, the main source of energy was love and laughter. I love the holidays! I love family!
Needless to say, I am still on the first day of the 7-day mental diet, but that’s okay. I’m exercising the law of practice and becoming more and more aware of my thoughts because of this practice.
I missed The Gal in the Glass twice this week. I apologize to my subby for any confusion caused by this slip. I will not make excuses, but will promise that I’ll be back on track once I get back to Minnesota next week.
